AASP-MN Announces Fall Seminar Offerings 

Back by popular demand, AASP-MN will host its third “Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems” class this year at Dunwoody College of Technology in Minneapolis, Tuesday, November 13th, from 6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.  This class will review the new, upcoming federal laws mandating the use of Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems and their ramifications for automotive repair shops.  Attendees will receive an overview of the operation of various manufacturers’ systems, including: 

  • How to identify a vehicle with TPMS
  • Direct and indirect sensors
  • Dismounting/mounting instructions
  • Reset/activation procedures for sensors and on-board systems
  • Scan tool applications
  • Hands-on demonstration of new tire dismount and mounting equipment

AASP-MN is also planning to host, “Secrets Revealed...How to Understand and Reduce the Cost of Credit Card Processing,” Tuesday, December 5th, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., metro-area location to be determined.  The course covers:

  • Visa and MasterCard regulations
  • Types of credit cards in circulation               
  • How processors price their product
  • Processing risks           
  • Preventing fraud
  • How to avoid chargebacks
